No Domain Change

Well the domain renew finally went through, Damn eNom and RegisterFly, I’m going to have to transfer to GoDaddy, So anway there wont be any change, which is good.

I might be changing the domain to something else, might be .net, .info or a completely different domain.

RegisterFly or GoDaddy?

Sure, RegisterFly may look good, but what are they like under all that fancy looking crap on their site? Well, let me tell you.

Ok so i get an email saying one of my domains are expiring soon, so i go to renew it, but of course they are changing the way they are doing renewals and transfers so it says “You are transferring from RegisterFly to RegisterFly yada..yada..yada, and that it will take 1-5 days to complete and that I may get an email to confirm the transfer.

so I wait a day, the next time I check my email it says failed, reason being: ” ” (thats right, nothing, zip, nada) So I try it again after making sure I have all my emails in my mail client, that fails again, so I enter a ticket about it and get no response(3 days later still no reply) that fails again, I look at the status page for these and it says “CANCELED” on all of them, now here I’m thinking to myself what the heck are they doing? so I do it again after making yet another ticket about it with still no reply from the other ticket even though they say to only enter one about the same issue - well I’m past caring about that crap because my domain expires within a week.

I then try for another renewal and I’m still waiting too see how this goes, I then click on the menu link labeled “Live Sales Chat [Online]“, ok now this is where it gets really good and the main reason you should not use RegisterFly, It asks me to send them a message, so I enter my name, email and my problem and wait, check my email and whats this? an email from their postmaster stating that my email was not delivered to livechat@registerfly.com reason being:

Unable to deliver message.
Error message: 550 sorry, no mailbox here by that name. (#5.7.17)

and the rest of the email:

Now wait a second here!
Did that just say When you were offline (via LivePerson)?! but I thought the website said Live Sales Chat [Online]? Looks like someone screwed up, So not only am I angry about not being able to renew my domain, I cannot get in touch with their support desk, and those tickets still have not been replied to either.

What happens when you use a fly to renew a domain?
Nothing, a fly cannot renew a domain.

So who should you use? GoDaddy in my opinion.
