Time Capsule

For a while now I’ve been wanting to replace my external HD I use for backing up my Mac with Time Machine, I decided to get Time Capsule after reading the specs on it.

Backup Drive, Router with Wireless? What a deal, So today I went out to the store where I buy most of my Apple things, Beyond.

The people there are helpful and very friendly, I bought my first iPod from there, although I did buy my other iPod’s and iMac from JB Hi Fi.

Anyway, Time Capsule frees up space on my desk and cuts out the middle man that pisses me off, my old Linksys Router.

I recommend Time Capsule to anyone who wants to use Time Machine to backup their Mac.

MacUpdate Parallels Bundle

I bought the MacUpdate Parallels Bundle the other day, Main reason is because it came with Parallels.

Parallels was unlocked at 6,100 sales I think? but was originally set to unlock at 15,000 sales, what were they thinking? MacUpdate Promo is so shit no one buys the crap from there, what makes them think 15,000 people will buy their bundle?

They are always posting shit apps and pissy baby games on the weekend,
I mean seriously WHO plays 2D games that were on the bloody GameBoy 20 years ago?

If you looked at their sales, I’m sure only about 100-200 people actually buy their daily promos, and probably only around 30-60 people buy their game promos.

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, MacUpdat Promo is shit.

MacUpdate Promo

I just bought the MacUpdate Promo Bundle, so far MenuCalendarClock is my favorite.

I was holding out on buying it until I knew all the apps would get unlocked, and it looks like they will.

Hopefully soon Parallels will be unlocked, Could come in handy when I don’t want to boot up my Winblows Windows machine.

JTickets 1.0 Stable

JTickets 1.0 Stable is now release and up for download, grab it at the official Dreamlight Software website.

Well, That was a mistake

Last night while I was trying to get to sleep I thought about an old game I used to play, “Star Wars Galaxies”.

So today I reactivated my account and started playing, after I figured out where the hell I was, I made my way to some monsters so I can figure out how to attack things.

My first attempt was bad, I almost died - luckily I remembered Jedi’s have Force Run, I ran off and got my health back, after that I tried again with success.

But after playing for an hour, I just couldn’t get the hang of playing that game, the combat is so different to what it used to be, and to what I’m used to in WoW.

I just have to say, That game is still a piece of shit, and will always be a piece of shit, nothing can change my mind now.

I regret reactivating my account on there almost immediately - scratch that, I regret it the moment I even thought about it.

I’m not gone!

Just because I haven’t been posting much doesn’t mean I’m gone, Recently i’ve begun coding again.

JTickets 1.0 is ready to be released and i’ve already begun on the next major release.

Anyway, I’ll be making another post in the next few days about the first stable release of JTickets 1.0

Carbonite

Carbonite is a, well you could call it a new project of mine.

Heard of CodeIgniter? Well Carbonite is similar to to that,
It’s a Framework to make PHP scripts/sites with.

Carbonite is not an API, its [in some ways] easier to use than an API,
if you have tried CodeIgniter and liked it, you will [hopefully] love Carbonite.

Exodus progress

Because I’ve been so busy lately with TAFE and other things in my life, I finally found a tiny bit of spare time to work on things I need to do.

I did some things on some of my projects, including Exodus, meaning its not dead like my other shitty Content Management Systems I have previously started on.
