Jack’s Site

Just updated the site to WordPress 2.5,

Now I can finally use the proper editor for posting.

I’ve decided my Blogger page will be my non-personal site, while this one is more for a personal site / portfolio, So I imported all my Blogger posts.

If your someone who visits my site every now and then you may have noticed a new look to my site, the last main theme was a slightly edited K2, however when i moved to Liquid Web i created a new theme(JP5) for the site which was pretty dark , too dark i thought.

So i decided to create a new theme based on K2 and another theme with some changes to it here and there, I’m still working on it so for now its called J6 “Beta”, however as there never really was a J5, unofficially J6 can be called “J5.5″

No one has really asked why I’ve been naming my themes with 1 or 2 letters and a number, but it’ll explain anyway, obviously my name is Jack Polgar, take away the lowercase letters and you have JP, and because mainly my site uses the theme and because i made it i usually just call it something simple with something to do with me, so i used my initials with a number.

Now with the boring, meaning less explanation out of the way, i guess this is where i end this post… or shall i mention i might buy a new domain, something along the lines of “noonecares.net” ?

Some of you may know my sites are now on a server with Liquid Web, and I’d just like to say since I moved to Liquid Web I am very impressed.

My sites are faster, I have no setup problems as they did most of it and the price of the server is much better than the old one,
I absolutely recommend Liquid Web to anyone looking for a great web host, Liquid Web really know what they are doing, I have no idea why I didn’t host my websites with them when I started them.

I doubt I will ever move away from Liquid Web, their support is wonderful, better than any other host I have been with.

Well, my website is back and on a new server,

After running into problems with ThePlanet, I decided to cancel both my servers with them and go with Liquid Web,
And I must say, Liquid Web are absolutely great I recommend getting hosting from them, they are just so great and helpful.

Still slowly working on this WordPress addon, not sure when it will be ready for other people to use it,
but when it is I’ll be posting it on here.

As you can see on the sidebar there is a list of some of my World of Warcraft characters, This is a plugin I made for WordPress, I’m still working on it so I wont be releasing it right now, but soon.

Complete boredom can drive some people insane, I have however found a way around it.

Well, I figured a nicer more organized theme would look better instead of the last one, This theme is an edited version of K2, I left the fun bits in it but I may disable them if they start to kill the sites load times, but hopefully WP-Cache will help with that.

The only problem with WP-Cache being enabled is the theme switcher wont work.

In the next few months I might put up a new Portfolio page/site, This will include most of the things I’ve done with more details about them.

I updated my computers page and added the specs of what my new computer is going to have and might have.

I just upgraded by blog to WordPress 2.1, So far its great, The admin interface looks a little better.
